DVD 4 - THE TRAP DEFENSE
This final installment in the Attack Basketball Series provides a comprehensive look at one of the most aggressive defensive approaches ever devised, creating an average of 19.2 steals and forcing an amazing 35.2 turnovers per game in 2007-08.
Designed to complement a free-wheeling fast break attack, the Trap Defense compels opponents play at the tempo you dictate. This defense is not a just another conventional press…it’s much more! Trapping opponents in the backcourt, frontcourt, and even after a missed shot, you will learn how to generate offense via your defense and force opponents into “Meltdown”.
Coaches will also learn four simple press variations: “On”, “Off”, “Stay”, and “Zone” as well as rules for matching up against all common offensive fronts, making adjustments against different press-break schemes, defending sideline and baseline out-of-bounds situations, and attacking delay games.
DVD 4 concludes with an in-depth discussion of 10 essential defensive techniques, as well as on–court demonstrations of the 10 drills necessary to make the Trap Defense—and Attack Basketball—work for you!
